Chptr 4: Dream to Nightmare

that night i had a dream..if only he didn't came in my dream, it be perfect. in my dream i was in the living room, my family was there, all grining and cheerful, i was so happy that i came to them and hugged them all three of them, my mom and dad, and my sister laura. they hugged my back to. but when i let go of them my sister said ''where have been hiding from all this time?''

I saw the expression of my family change, their face whent from cheerfull and happy to cruel and sinister smiles. then the three of combined and transformed.

''no...no..'' was all i can say. they turned into HIM...

''say hello to your new father kaari..''

''NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!'' It kept going on and on until i woke up. the room was dark, i could hardly see a thing, then the door i gues opened with a jolt as tai lung came in in a panicked voice. ''WHAT HAPPENED? DID SOMEONE HURT YOU? ARE YOU ILL?'' even though i was scared hearing his voice, i could't say a word. then i notice a candle on his hand. he came and sat next to me, i took a deep breath and said.''i screamed..i just...had a nightmare...that's all...'' I was prepared to be hit on the face or be punched terribalbly...but instead i was suddenly on tai lung's lap. I was shocked to this...i didn't think he be gentle with anybody.

''it's only a dream...it's not real..'' he said to me.

''yeah...but is the world of kung fu panda real? is this real?...'' now I think this is is a life dream. it began as a dream when i got to this world...but now...it is a mysterious nightmare...

I woke up in the morning at sunrise and i didn't see him anywhere. at first i didn't know where i am cause of the room,and i was really surprised. It looked like a room that could belong to someone who's wealthy. and i notice that the blanket was actually made of silk! i don't know why is he all nice, i mean first the not hurting me in the room, second the comforting last night, and now the freaking room! but the one thing for sure is that he wants something from me...but what exactly? i decided to put that away from my mind and go put clothes on from my pjs. i looked through the clothes that oma gave me and found one. it was just a plain farmers shirt and pants. i putted on the clothes, it didn't look stylish but i don't mind, it was comfterble. and i putted on straw shoes. well, i didn't know what to do in this room so i just sait down in a chair and tried to think to do something. then i remembered the day dad and I went to Disneyland, i remembered how much fun it was to see the parade and the rides. then another thing to add my enjoyment was that what if oma, shu and yong were there too. they would problably scared cause of my time period. but when i calm them down and tell them they would have fun too. and the fireworks at night...they were all so beautiful..i could only wish that i live in that place..

''excuse me..miss?''

i was snapped out of my daydream and saw a bird. It was a female crane, but it looked and sound like that she was only a teenager. and she only wore a yellow shirt and green pants.

''oh hi...um...whats up?'' was all i can say.

''nothing i guess...so you must be Kaari.''

''huh?'' then i remembered, Kaari is my japanese name...my fake name...later, i'll tell them my real name.

''yeah..so..what's your name?''

'' my name is jasmine, if you follow me i'll take you to get something to eat.''

I followed her and i have to say, she's a pretty bird. she had black soft feathers and green eyes. she gave me a look what i would like to have for breakfest, but i only chose peaches cause peaches reminds me of home. so after i ate my peaches i asked her something.

''I have a question.''

''and what is the quesion?''

''did tai lung took you away from your home against your own will?''

Jasmine looked shocked at my question and said ''No! he took me in when my parents threw me out of the house. my parents never loved me...here some proof..'' she lifted her wing up and i was horrified to see a scar that only a bird can make on her left wing. that would only mean''my parents used me as if i were only a worthless feather. he found me in a little crate the day my parents threw me out. and that happened a year ago.

the same year ago that po became the dragon warrior...and the same year that tai lung was supposed to be dead. I felt really stupid asking her that question so i changed the subjet. I stepped out of the place and went outside. I saw that i was eally surrounded by hue trees..then i realized that these were ash-wood trees..the origin of my name ashley. I felt almost at home...the only thing that was missing was my parents and my sister.

''Hello Kaari..''

Oh god...i know that voice... i slowly turned my head but saw nothing.

''huh..i must hearing things..'' but when i faced forward i saw him...Tai lung..

''oh...hi...'' it was all i can say...

''did you have a nice sleep last night?'' he asked.

''yeah..'' then i said ''So...How things going?''

''fine...did you eat? tell me the truth.''

I nodded, and said ''just peaches sir...''

at first he frowned but then he said ''as long as you eat something i'm fine.'' then tai lung invited me to go on a walk near sunset.I agreed, but only if jasmine came with us. He didn't say anything but agreed. I asked jasmine if she would like to walk with us, and she happily said yes, but Jasmine told me that i should dress up for the walk. i looked throught he clothes again and then i found something in it. they were two things, one was a blue ankle lenght dress with one strap on it, the second one was a box, small box, i opened the box and found two smaller boxes there, i opened the first one and it revealed a sparkling star necklace with a blue diamond in the middle of the star. the scond one was a pink colar with an emerald shaped heart on a silver circle around it. I found a note on it, at first i couldn't read it cause it was written in chinese, then i remembered that shu taught me how to read it. it said

'' These gifts are for you my flower... Tai lung'' Wow...that was very sweet of him..WAIT A SECOND! TAI LUNG ISN'T SWEET WITH ANYONE! I MEAN WHY IS HE TREATING ME SO KINDLY? WHY?!?I know he's up to something but what?
but he gifts are a bit tempting, but i only wore the collar to go with the dress oma gave me. after that jasmine put a little bit of make up on me.

I putted black shoes and met tai lung waiting.

''beautiful...''

well my face naturally blush and nervously said '' you mean the collar?''

''no..i meant you..'' I simply nodded and went with him and jasmine to walk. I guess he meant a walk through the forest, i felt uncomfterable at first cause he was with me but when i saw the stars in the sky i forgot about it. If someone looked at us he or she would problably think were one weird yet happy family. but they aren't my family. I came across beautiful flowers and went to pick some. i looked at my bouqet of flowers, but then someone pulled me away and covering my mouth preventing me to scream.

i tried fighting with the jackass that took me till he said ''no Wait! it's me! Yong!'' i stopped fighting and finally saw who was him. he really is yong.

''Yong! how did you-''

''theres no time to explain. just hurry, we have to get out of here!''

''But he'll look for for me! and if he sees you with me he'll kill you!''

''Kaari-''

''no..not kaari...my name isn't really kaari..it's Ashley..Ashley Cruz..'' Yong looked surprised to hear my real name but he quickly got over it and said

''well then..Ashley don't worry, i'll protect you..leave this nightmare behind you forever..'' I blushed but i agreed and he took my hand..I was prepared to be taken away to freedom...but i wasn't prepared for what happend next.

''RRRROOOAAARRR!''

Yong and I turned and my face turned to shock cause tai lung was there! and in his face was the expression of intense rage, looking both anger and something else i couldn't figure out. He pounced on yong and began to attack him, i rushed to help my friend yong but i was pulled away by jasmine.

''no...please dodn't...'' my voice was barly above whisper.

the last thing i saw was tai lung rising his claws about to kill him in one blow and i shouted one last thing before that happened...

''NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!''

then my world grew dark...
